Hebe lamented that “it’s not easy to earn whilst lying down!”. The scenes lying down on the salt flat may seem easy, but in reality it took her much effort. “It takes a lot of control on the core muscles to control the movement each time!”

She also had to fight the cold temperatures and dirt, along with jet-lag. The 15-hour time difference caused her to be sleepy-eyed during the afternoons, where she was noticed to be zoning out. “I’m about to fall asleep. I’m usually asleep at this hour, no wonder I’m feeling so lethargic…”

The lyrics of Anything Goes may seem free-spirited but it hides a persistence deep within. When the production meeting was called for the song, Hebe felt deeply for the line, “only to be reduced to a part of the scenery (淪爲了風景)”. She had to lower her head and pretended to be deeply focused on the song as she was holding back tears. She explained that she once thought she could do as she please and be anything that could make others happy. However, that line hit her hard as she realised that she is but a scenery to others, destined to live with the regret of being unable to be a long time companion of another, nor be able to share the ups and downs of life together.

When asked about her struggles, she simply stated, “things that involves human emotions and relations, it is always hard to make a decision. Also, when ordering food deliveries.”

Recording the song has been comforting for Hebe, “if you feel your heart aching ever so slightly while listening to the song, perhaps it might have been me, embracing myself line by line whilst singing, subtly airing my grievances bit by bit. As the song ended, it seemed to have soothed me emotionally as well.”

皆可 Anything Goes is the second single released from her upcoming 5th album. Notably, it is one of the earliest songs to be confirmed on her album lineup.
