2015.11.01 Hebe at Hakka Pop Music Festival
Hebe performed as guest star at the 2015 Hakka Pop Music Festival (潮客音樂), a music fest organized to promote original compositions of Hakka songs. In part to promote the Hakka culture and to generate pop interest among the youth, Hebe was invited to both perform and grace the event at the finals held last Sunday, 1st November. As a Hakka herself, Hebe shared on the Hakka culture and even sang snippets of a Hakka song she was familiar with. Afraid the audience was unable to understand, she took it upon herself to both translate the meaning of the lyrics while singing a short portion of the song.
Her repertoire for the night event included 不醉不會 (Not Drunk)，Love，小幸運 (Simple Happiness) and 寂寞寂寞就好 (I’m Fine Alone). The Hakka song sang by Hebe was 客家本色 (A True Hakka). She was in a great mood, however she was suffering from a mild cold, so the songs were not performed very well.
