2015.10.03 Hebe at Citizen Pop-up Store
In the third year running, Hebe has endorsed the Citizen ladies watch series. This time round, Citizen features Hebe as the acting shop manager for the day at a pop-up store in Xinyii district, Taipei. Lucky fans who pre-ordered the Citizen watch won a photo opportunity with Hebe, as ‘cover girls’ of a Citizen magazine, which served as the backdrop of the photo shot.
Despite the extremely hot weather, there was a relatively huge turnout at the event and media interest was high. You will notice Hebe struggling to construct her answers properly during the media interview and the CITIZEN stickers ‘sliding’ off their placements due to the sweat. Still, her outfit made her a true beauty at the event!

In Citizen’s latest advertisment, there are shots of Hebe’s trickling down. The media and fans alike, questioned if it was real or done through some ‘help’ (eye drops). Hebe clarified that although she hardly cries in public and has had difficulties with crying scenes in the past, the shots featured in the ad were real, she truly cried for the authenticity of the shot. In part, it was due to the director’s communication with her, to portray and capture a geniune emotion on-screen which will translate into a more powerful scene for the audience.
As 小幸運 (Simple Happiness) has been nominated as Best Original Movie Sound Track for the 52nd Golden Horse Awards, Hebe has been posted questions on how confident she felt winning the award. While congratulating the film for the nominated entry, she claims little credit for the nomination, . Instead, Hebe praises the composers and lyricist for having devoted much time and effort in penning the song after going through the film’s script several times, which produced such an apt song for the movie. She places confidence in the talents and efforts of the composer and lyricist, where an award win may be possible. When asked if she will be attending the awards ceremony, Hebe cites an earlier engagement in her IF concert tours at Chongqing and will thus be unable to be present at the ceremony.
When asked if Hebe will be interested in taking on roles in films, Hebe expressed she is open to the idea, provided there are suitable scripts and roles where the film and her own work schedules are able to coincide. Reporters suggested taking on roles of a killer or a love-struck character, both of which she is interested to try. As for a student role, Hebe is less open to the idea, citing, “I think I will look more like an alumni!”.
