2015.08.07 Hebe in Chongqing Music Festival

While typhoon Soudelor swept across Taiwan this weekend, Hebe was performing at Chongqing’s Xiannvshan Greens Camping Music Festival (仙女山草原露營音樂節). It was also where she was later trapped for an additional night as her flight was cancelled due to Soudelor.

Her first performing in the festival, Hebe prepared a total of four songs for the audiences. Starting with 不醉不會 (Not Drunk), followed by 愛著愛著就永遠 (Love On and It’s Forever), 魔鬼中的天使 (The Angel in the Devil) and ending off with 寂寞寂寞就好 (I’m Fine Alone). All dressed in white, Hebe’s outfit tied back to the name of the festival and location, Xiannvshan, which meant Mountain of Fairies.

Hebe mentions in her second talking part (after 愛著愛著就永遠) that the next song was specifically ‘ordered’ by the event organiser. When she realised there was response from the audience after announcing the song title, she was surprised and asked them to sing along if they can. Guess she thought it was a lesser known song since it is not such a hit with the public as compared to her other songs. Also, if you noticed her hand signals during the song, at about the 11min mark (approximately 11:15), Hebe gave some hand signals to the crew. She was signalling for the fonts to be larger on the lyrics prompter screen. (oops!)

The funnier talking was after she performed the requested song, in her third talking segment. She begins by asking if everyone was from Chongqing, then moved on to promote her solo concert in Chongqing, hoping to meet the audiences again at her IF Chongqing concert. When it came to the dates, Hebe laughed and said, I cannot remember it, I think it is November, 27? (looking at her crew backstage) 21?
