2015.03.28 Hebe in Macau IF Concert
Hebe held her first 2015 IF concert stop in Macau earlier this March, on the 28th at The Venetian Macao. As the concert was close to her birthday, fans wished her a happy birthday during the concert. She was in great mood and during the encore segment, she asked if everyone heard the songs they wanted to hear (seems like a common topic for her to bring up at every IF concert thus far, oops). Fans shouted no and requested for her to sing 替我愛你 (Loving you for me). She cheekily quipped, that is Hebe’s song (since it was in S.H.E’s 2001 debut album), not Tien Fu-Chen’s, so to hear that everyone have to go to a Hebe concert. The one happening right now is Tien Fu-Chen’s concert. Despite that, Hebe sang a few sentences from the song and everyone started cheering.

Hebe explained the reason why she could remember the lyrics was that she had to repeatedly sing this song many times during the recording, because she was ‘new and not great in singing skills’, so the record producer would ask her to re-sing many times over. That was how the lyrics got stuck in her memory. She then asked the audience if they now understood why she has problems remembering lyrics now, because she ‘got better and faster at completing the song recordings’ (read, singing skills improved).

Hebe asked if fans find the concert good and all of them said yes. And so, Hebe cheekily said, having performed only a few songs and everyone is satisfied, “let’s end the concert now and let’s go play!”, since Macau had lots of good food and sights.

After introducing the band, the guitarists are invited out, to perform 你快樂未必我快樂 (Your Happiness Doesn’t Equate to Mine). Hebe playfully teases the guitarists and asked them to dance 波斯貓(Persian Cat) with her.

Hebe mentions about the concert venue, saying it is no longer an unfamiliar place, because she has been here before with Selina and Ella. There are snippets of Insignificance (渺小), Love and Too Late (來不及). There is a short interview with Hebe at about 2min 48secs mark. She shares about spending her birthdays in a much simpler way now, just having a dinner gathering with close friends. She also welcomes Selina and Ella to bring along their husbands and in future, their kids, saying it is more fun that way. The reporter tried to ask if Hebe will bring a ‘good friend’ along to attend the party, she caught the drift and replied, “I hope many friends will be there”.
The reporter then conveys fans’ wishes for Hebe, hoping she finds a good partner and be able to have a great romantic relationship, to which Hebe said she will let nature take its course, but she is very grateful to fans. It has always been the case for fans to oppose against their idols being in a romantic affair, however her own fans did not harbour such thoughts and constantly wished for her to find ‘the one’. She is really thankful for that and hopes their wishes will work. Ending off, Hebe responded to the reporter’s question on if there were any suitable candidates recently with a polite “no, there aren’t any recently”.
