2014.05.20 Taiwan 25th Golden Melody Awards Nominee
The nominee list for the 25th Taiwan Golden Melody Awards has been announced today.
<Insignificance> was not listed for any major awards, neither did Hebe make it into the list for <Best Female Singer>.
There were however, 2 minor award nominations.

Quite disappointed that Hebe didn’t make it for the Best Female Singer. But hopefully Insignificance will get the other 2 minor awards. 🙂

Although I kind of expected she wouldn’t make it for the list, but I cannot deny I was a little disappointed, especially after having seen the list (oops). It seems the norm for her to miss Taiwan GMA nominations, the judges doesn’t seem to enjoy her vocals/albums? This was since S.H.E times.
Still, quite a number of industry people were surprised Hebe did not get nominated with her album this time round.
In fact, there were improvements in both her vocals and range in style,
I actually hoped the album would get nominated for best album, though it seems quite tough.
Honestly, I’m not familiar with any of the nominees for the Best Female Singer or Best Mandarin Album so I can’t comment on how deserving they are of the nomination 😛
I guess it’s just the preference of the judges, you can’t please everyone. Hopefully she’ll get nominated next time 🙂
True, every year the judges have a different set of criteria to consider, so the list tends to be headed for a certain direction.
Truth be told, I look forth to her next album and solo concert more than the awards. =X
