2014.04.20 Hebe at Banqiao Campus Concert

Hebe performed at a Taiwan high school last weekend on 20th April 2014.
There were both students and fans present, as it was a semi-public event.
She sported a casual outfit from her own wardrobe. Seriously, her own outfits are so much better at times!

She performed 7 songs: 終身大事 (Most Important Thing in Life)，你快樂未必我快樂(Your Happiness Doesn’t Equate to Mine)，矛盾(Contradicting)，愛著愛著就永遠 (Love On and It’s Forever) ，無常 (Inconstancy)，你就不要想起我 (Don’t You Think of Me)，寂寞寂寞就好 (I’m Fine Alone).

The music arrangement for the songs were slightly changed, especially for 矛盾 (Contradicting), which I really enjoyed as well. Though, her live performance during this concert was relatively problematic, her stability at holding longer or high notes was quite…hmm. But it was quite obvious she kind of enjoyed the stage and responsive+hyper crowd, with all the small talks she tried and ad-lib she sang.

The audio aren’t great for this event, especially with the overwhelming crowd response. (High school kids really have tons of energy!) I’ve tried to search through the videos online and these are thus far the slightly better ones. (At about 11-13 minute mark) When Hebe was returning the clover light stick to the fan, she told another fan who was filming not to post the video online because the it was too high an angle for the camera and it exposes all her double-chin. Funny line that got everyone laughing.
She then borrowed a fan’s DVD after spotting it, to promote it to the crowd. She laughed at herself, saying she wasn’t like that when she was in high school, but after stepping into the society she has to be a bit more commercial (to promote herself).
