2013.12.21 Hebe’s Taipei Autograph Session (Video Update)

As I am posting this, she is still in the midst of signing autographs for fans. (Update: She completed the session at about 9.15pm, after waiting for fans who had queue numbers but were not at the venue. Signing for about 7hrs, with only a 30-minute dinner break and 10minutes toilet break in between, she told fans, “I’m not the one who’s having it rough, all of you are the real ones enduring the hardship!” They were so moved by her words.)

 

Hebe performed 5 songs with a live band: 渺小 Insignificance, 不醉不會 Not Drunk, 矛盾 Contradicting, 你就不要想起我 Don’t You Think Of Me, 無常 Inconstancy. She sang the first 2 songs and the media interviews followed so there are no records for the last 3 songs. Am awaiting fan uploads and will update this post once there are good videos available. Please head below for the videos of the 3 songs.

She is currently down with a cold, possibly from yesterday’s photo shoot (wearing Spring/Summer collection). So I find her straining in certain parts of the song, with some bits lacking sufficient breath/power.
Selina came to the autograph after having visited an exhibition in the vicinity. She kept Hebe company, making her laugh, telling jokes to fans and chatting with everyone there. Hebe wanted to keep her mic at some point in time, because Selina joked that Hebe must have bored everyone for the past hour that she (Selina) was not around. Always great to have company and support, it is a hilarious and heartwarming one too.

She tells everyone who are feeling cold to not bother about the cold and to sense the surroundings and listen to the song with the spirit of being drunk.
Hebe’s quite hyper in this song, but forgetting some lyrics here and there.

 

3. Talking & Interview

Hebe shares that she is aware fans started queuing yesterday night with their own tents. The host says it is great that the she and her company has prepared hot beverages for the fans.
When asked about how she is spending her New Year’s Eve, she answers that she will spending it with both Selina and Ella, along with fans as they will be performing at Taipei’s countdown party. The host jokes that S.H.E will be vowing to be together forever as it will be 1314 (when pronounced in Chinese it means forever in this life). Hebe adds that she will be performing as both Tien Fu-Chen and S.H.E.

The host asks if Hebe is ever drunk or drinks occasionally, she reveals that she does drink when she can and she becomes quite an adorable person when she is drunk. She adds that at current moment, she is slightly drunk – by the enthusiasm and love from all the fans present as they went through so much hardship suffering the cold. She says she is so touched by fans that she cannot resist showing her ‘drunk’ self, where she is very hyper and happy.

They are auctioning off the photos that were exhibited for charity, where all proceeds will go to the visually challenged association. The auction will be held at Yahoo, starting from 23rd December to 31st December 2013.

Hebe hopes that fans will not queue overnight as it is never her intention for this to happen. She worries for  the safety of the fans, especially the girls and is also concerned about their health condition for the temperature was really low last night and today. Currently though, upon seeing everyone’s state during her performance, it seems that everyone has managed to stay well and is relieved. So her mood is much lighter and happier now.

A reporter said that there are really many fans present and asked if she can finish signing all of them. She agreed with the reporter that it is really a crowd and added that she has just confirmed with the crew, the location is only available for use till 12midnight. As such, they are considering to shift to another location nearby, perhaps by the road or the sorts to continue signing if need be. The reporters are surprised and Hebe affirms that they will definitely try all means to complete signing everyone’s albums.

She is asked about her thoughts on this first (and only) autograph session, seeing that so many has turned up. Hebe answers that she is very grateful and wonders if this is a test for everyone as the weather these 2 days has been the harshest since the start of winter. She says, perhaps this is to test the pocket’s warmth of everyone here, to turn out your warm side to fight the cold.

In regards to questions for having the live band, Hebe answers that as she is only holding one autograph session this time round, she hopes to give back more to fans who made their way here, as she does not know what more she can do for fans. So that is why she opted for a live band and will be performing more songs to let all the fans present hear her sing live. Especially since her mini concerts this time round are of a hundred audience scale, though the atmosphere and feeling performing in such a space is great, she still hopes to let more people listen to her. The autograph session today made up for her regrets in a way, as the crowd can all hear her live. The reporters asked if those who did not manage to grab a ticket to the mini concerts are the reasons for the incident that happened a few weeks back. Hebe tactfully replies that it is but a misunderstanding and that this misunderstanding and opportunity to communicate is actually great, for some people may not understand the mechanics and reasons behind certain decisions for her album’s promotions and voicing out their misunderstandings allowed for a two-way communication to express both sides of the issue. In the end, the incident is resolved and it feels like everyone is bonded stronger now. She describes that it is akin to a family where there are bound to have conflicts at times but with these ‘fights’ and communication with each other, the feelings between all parties grow closer and stronger. And that is why, her mini concerts continue after Kao Hsiung’s session.

Hebe is excited for the countdown concert as she gets to not only share and perform her new album’s songs but also get to perform together with her sisters Selina and Ella, so it is a great new year eve for her. All she hopes is that the weather will not be so cold like today. She is also looking forward to seeing the clover-leaf light sticks used for their concerts to make a comeback at the countdown party. Costume-wise, they have yet to try their looks but Hebe has said that she will prepare her long johns and ponder over how to hide them beneath the costumes to keep herself warm.
The reporters commented she will be so busy, having to play both roles as her solo Tien Fu-Chen and as a member of S.H.E. Hebe agrees and adds that she has to switch channels in a few seconds and is an interesting challenge for her (she has 90 seconds to change costume). She frowns upon realizing she has never done so in such a short time and asked everyone to take note if she is able to switch roles smoothly.

When probed about her character when she is drunk, she says that she will keep the introverted and shy side of her away and start showing her love openly for everyone. If she has her phone with her, she will start messaging everyone to thank them and say I love you; if there are people around her, she will start hugging them. When asked if she will deny having done all these when she turns sober, she says no but will instead be embarrassed and so awkward, especially when she needs to face them after that.

The topic goes back to her having to change costumes in 90 seconds, Hebe is fretting slightly over how she is going to do it as the costume will be quite thick then, considering the weather. She is even more worried now that she realises she needs to change in the cold (in a quick change area beneath/near the stage). A reporter jokes that she can wear less (and reveal more in other sense), Hebe pouts and says, “You are so bad!” She then quipped, “I’m not suitable to wear less (reveal more).”

Talking 1:
A crew shouts that her singing was great, she asks where are you then asks if she sang well, fans answered yes.
She says, the soothing and calm song just now is for all of you who stay so calm.
The next is a contradicting song for the contradicting me

Talking 2:
She asks if fans felt the contradictions and conflicts in the song. Then she asks if it is starting to drizzle to which fans said yes. She says, “You guys must be contradicting internally, should I use the umbrella, or not? Should I, or not?” She told the fans to not get wet from the rain.

Talking 3:
She introduces the band, thanks them and fans and leaves to prepare for the signing of albums.
