Hebe says she is so serious and focused in singing the song and then she gets stuck for a moment thinking about the lyrics.
She shares that although this song uses very straightforward and striking tone in its lyrical choice of words, it is in fact full of sadness, reflective of a person’s true emotions after a breakup. She recorded two versions for this song, the first was more composed, a choice she made instinctively when she received the song and went through its lyrics. After it was completed, both the lyricist and producer felt that it should be handled in a more emotional and blatant way, where it shows more of the bitterness and heartache of a person. The final output used in the album is the latter version.
On her thoughts about the final choice, Hebe agrees with the professional advice as it is easier for the listener to enter into and share the emotions of the song when it is sung in a more direct and emotional way. She emphasizes that this song is like a gentle curse, where the other party will realise how painful it is when he finally misses you.
